Missouri Community College Association Concludes 2024 Trustee & Executive Leadership Conference
(Jefferson City, Mo.) - The Missouri Community College Association (MCCA) hosted its Trustee & Executive Leadership Conference for 2024 last month at Camden on the Lake in Camdenton, Mo. The conference, held over three days, brought together close to 100 prominent leaders, trustees, and executives from community colleges across the state to promote collaboration, share best practices, and enhance leadership skills within the community college sector.
During the event, participants engaged in thought-provoking discussions, gained insights from industry experts and heard about their peers' success stories. The conference provided attendees with diverse sessions covering artificial intelligence and student success, legal issues in higher education, state and federal updates, and more.
The event also featured addresses from speakers with expertise in a variety of higher education topics, including Jee Hang Lee, President and CEO of the Association of Community College Trustees, attorneys from St. Louis Law Firm Tueth Keeney, and David Baime, Vice President for Public Affairs for the American Association of Community Colleges.
One key outcome of the conference was the strategic planning session for MCCA, which focused on enhancing the association's impact on Missouri's community colleges.
